The newest member of Kingston's DataTraveler series of USB flash drives is DataTraveler Max, which is a high-performance flash drive using USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C interface and 3D TLC NAND. The 1TB model reviewed here is priced at 135 pounds, let's see if this drive is worth the money.

DataTraveler Max is available in three capacities (at the time of writing); 256GB, 512GB, and the 1TB flagship model we are reviewing here. DataTraveler Max uses a combination of 3D TLC NAND and Silicon Motion SM2320 controller. Kingston quoted all three drives with sequential read speeds of up to 1,000MB/s and write speeds of up to 900MB/s.

The hard drive does not contain any data encryption, but Kingston provides DataTraveler Max with a 5-year warranty and free technical support services for the hard drive.
